We serve people from every background and every walk of life. No one is turned away because of who they are, their identity, or their background. Every person who comes to us will be met with kindness, gentleness, patience, and compassion.
What we offer
Pastoral and clinical counseling for individuals, couples, and families, together with ministry and educational services to support the church.

Our counseling addresses the range of human difficulty. Anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma, marriage and family conflict, parenting, addiction and recovery, life transitions, spiritual struggle, and questions of meaning and identity.
The framework we bring
We are not a values-neutral practice. Every counselor brings a framework to the room, and ours is openly Christian.
Our convictions are rooted in the historic Christian understanding of human flourishing. That God made us with purpose, that His design is good, and that we are most whole when our lives are lived in harmony with it. We hold a traditional, biblical understanding of personhood, sexuality, marriage, and the body.
We believe every person is made in the image of God, is deeply loved, and carries worth that no behavior, history, or struggle can diminish. Read our Statement of Faith.
Because our care proceeds from this framework, some people may prefer counseling that does not. If you would prefer care that does not proceed from a Christian framework, tell us and we will gladly help you find another qualified provider.
Where our services have limits
Every practice defines the services it offers. Ours are shaped by the framework above. This is a limit on what we offer, not on whom we serve, and any referral rests on the specific service or goal you are seeking.
By way of example, RCA does not provide:
- Medication management
- Substance-use disorder treatment
- Eating-disorder treatment
- Psychological testing
- Gender-transition counseling
- Counseling directed toward strengthening a sexual relationship outside of marriage between one man and one woman
- Forensic or custody evaluations, expert testimony, or opinions for use in legal proceedings
- Emergency, crisis, or inpatient care
Where your goals call for a service we do not provide, we will tell you plainly and respectfully, and wherever we can we will help you find another qualified provider who does.
A word about legal proceedings
RCA is a place of care, not a party to anyone's litigation. We do not perform custody or forensic evaluations and we do not offer opinions for use in court, so we hold no assessment of any client's fitness, credibility, or suitability for a legal outcome, and we create none on request.
When a court seeks information about someone we serve, we assert our clients' constitutional right of privacy and ask the court to obtain what it needs through a neutral evaluator appointed under Family Code section 3111 or Evidence Code section 730. We produce records only on a client's written authorization or a court's order, and we do not litigate on any client's behalf.
