What we believe
We are not a values-neutral practice.
Every counselor brings a framework to the room. Ours is openly Christian, and you should know that before you sit down with us.
Our convictions are rooted in the historic Christian understanding of human flourishing. That God made us with purpose. That His design is good. That we are most whole when our lives are lived in harmony with it.
We hold a traditional, biblical understanding of personhood, sexuality, marriage, and the body.
We believe every person is made in the image of God, is deeply loved, and carries worth that no behavior, history, or struggle can diminish. We approach all people as image-bearers to be loved and accompanied toward wholeness in Christ.
These convictions shape what we teach and who ministers. They never decide whom we serve.
They do shape what we offer. Because our care proceeds from this framework, some people may prefer counseling that does not, and that is worth naming before you begin. If you would prefer care that does not proceed from a Christian framework, tell us and we will gladly help you find another qualified provider.
We will not impose an outcome on you
We do not begin counseling with a predetermined outcome that we impose. Our counselors listen to each client's own goals and work toward those goals with respect for the client's right of self-determination. You remain free at every point to disagree with us and to decide what you will do with your own life.
The full Statement
Our Statement of Faith is adopted by our Board of Directors and is available to you on request. Our directors, officers, counselors, employees, and volunteers affirm it as a condition of service. Ask us and we will send it to you before you decide anything.
We also recognize that these are tender subjects, and that many people carry real wounds in exactly these areas. We do not take that lightly. If you have any questions, please ask us.
